
Dan Santa Ph.D.
Dan Santa Ph.D., Director of the International Relations for the Romanian Broadcasting Corporation (SRR) for more than 27 years, has 35 years’ work experience, of which 30 years dedicated to Public Service Media.
He carried out an internship at the EBU Brussels office and held several leadership roles in international broadcasting and media bodies as EBU, ABU, COPEAM, URTI, PBI etc
Dan Santa is vice-president of URTI (International Radio-Television Union), vice-president of COPEAM (The Permanent Conference of the Mediterranean Audiovisual), member of PBI (Public Broadcasters International) Steering Committee, member of the ABU (Asia Pacific Broadcasting Union) Programme Bureau.
Dan Santa received his PH.D. in philosophy in December 1999 at University of Cluj (Romania), being specialized in philosophy of culture and religions. Between ’92-’98 he was a lecturer for the Philosophy Professorship at University of Cluj and between ’96-’98 editor in chief for the Ethnic Minorities Department of Radio Romania. Dan Santa worked as a radio programmer-producer, dedicated mainly to mentalities and inter-cultural relations. He is the author of several books of Philosophy and many studies on Culture and Religion and also of radio dramas and podcasts.
Over time, as Director of the International Relations for the Romanian Broadcasting Corporation he organized more than 30 high level International media & development conferences and forums, coordinated the Radio Romania international music exchanges, developed and maintained high level relationships and networks with international broadcasting unions as well as regional and international media organizations, directed and managed all Radio Romania relationship and activities with the Diplomatic Corps & Embassies, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and different International organizations. He is also the liaison officer of Radio Romania for the Romanian Royal House.
He is fluent and currently working in four languages – French, English, Romanian, Hungarian.
